Description

This coffee comes from Jorge Elias Rojas and his son Felipe at Finca La Roca in Planadas, Tolima.

Jorge began working in coffee at the age of twelve, stepping onto the family farm alongside his mother after the loss of his father.

What started as responsibility became vocation. Today, Jorge is not only a farmer, but an accomplished cupper and roaster, applying decades of experience to every decision made on his land.

This washed Gesha was selected through a Clearpath auction and produced in extremely limited volume.

After harvest, the coffee underwent a controlled 48-hour anaerobic fermentation before being fully washed, a process chosen to enhance clarity, balance, and structure rather than intensity.

Only a small quantity was secured. This is a one-off release that reflects a family’s craft, discipline, and long-term commitment to quality.

Brewing Advice

Brewing La Roca Geisha – Origami Method

  • Coffee: 15 g

  • Water: 250 ml

  • Grind: Medium-fine, slightly finer than standard pour-over

  • Brewer: Origami dripper

Step-by-Step:

  1. Place your filter in the Origami dripper and rinse with hot water. Discard the rinse water.

  2. Add 15 g of ground coffee.

  3. Start your bloom with 50 ml of water. Let it bloom for 30 seconds.

  4. Pour the remaining water in 50 ml increments every 30 seconds, using a slow, circular motion.

  5. Allow the brew to finish dripping; total brew time should be around 2:30–3:00 minutes.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy the vibrant floral and citrus notes.

Tip: Adjust grind slightly finer if the brew is too fast, or coarser if too slow, to dial in your perfect cup.
